WordPress Lawyer and Attorney Theme
Posted under: Wordpress Legal Theme by admin
WordPress Legal Theme
When looking for legal themes and skins for WordPress, I found myself somewhat disappointed by the lack of unique options available. I therefore set out to create a theme that attorney, lawyers or anyone in need of a law related blog could utilize. Anyone is welcome to download it at http://www.virginia-divorce-lawyer.com/legal-blog-template/law-theme.zip. This theme is the result of these efforts. If you find this theme of value please feel free to let them know since this is my contribution to the WordPress Community.
Installation Suggestions
Developers must activate the right sidebar category navigation under the widgets section after logging into WordPress. Aside from that, this blog is a working example of the theme. I took the time to add the tracking and xml plugins. Additionally, I modified the permalink structure to make it easier for the search engines to read. It is suggested to install WordPress on directly, rather than using Fanastico. Although Fantastico is an excellent tool, many developers run into errors when using the self installation mode.
Virginia Divorce Lawyers Goal
My goal is to help others easily share their legal knowledge in an appealing style. While my primary site is focused on Virginia divorce lawyers, any law firm can easily utilize this blog to create their own standalone website or use it simply for blogging purposes. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or issues. Also, comments are certainly appreciated; hopefully positive (wink)! However in all sincerity please do add your feedback regarding the law theme therefore and I will attempt to make improvements that are desired. Thank you and all others who visit and utilize this legal theme.

Once you are logged into the VA lawyer WordPress administration backend, click on the “editor” button underneath the appearance tab on the left. Now on the right side click on sidebar1.php. Search for twitter.gif (about the third line down) and replace that entire line of code with the following code:
<a href="http://twitter.com/home?status=Currently reading <?php the_permalink(); ? rel="nofollow">" target="_blank"><img src="<?php bloginfo(’stylesheet_directory’); ?>/images/twitter.gif" alt="subscribe" /></a>
After that hit update file and everything is set to go.
If you want to add a specific twitter page, then simply replace the code with your twitter web page address between the quotation marks after href=
Please let me know if you encounter other errors or would like additional features added to this legal blog theme.

A few bloggers desired to post a link to this template on their website and asked for permission to do such. I have no problems with this. Webmasters are also welcome to host and add the theme to any template or theme directly on their site, using the zip file provided in the original post. The zip file provided a screen image of the template, but to make it more accessible people can also find that same image here.

I agree that it is a wonderful design. And I am happy that there are lots of people who are creating themes for those interested in discussions about law in general and in this case divorce lawyers.

Feel free to use this legal blog template on any portion of a site. I only ask that to keep the credit intact. A decent amount of effort went into creating this WordPress theme and thus appreciate leaving the footer information in case others wish to also utilize the theme.
